In moving back to California in 1989 I brought back ten plants of each variety of Sansevierias except the Variegated Patens which my dad, Ed Eby, had only two of at that time, and he wouldn’t let go of.
Because of my interest in propagating, developing the right soil mixture and finding what the best growing conditions would be for this area, I acquired a commercial type greenhouse and continued to increase my collection. Over the years our practices have been very successful in growing Sansevierias.
We grow them in our own custom potting mix – no soil – all organic material to avoid contamination from soil bourn pests on benches 36 inches above ground. The greenhouse is located in Los Osos, CA.
